Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Made by Velocity ("we", "us", "our"), a brand of QStart Labs, collects, uses, shares, and protects information about visitors to madebyvelocity.com. It applies to this website and to the inquiries you send us through it.
We are based in Dublin, Ohio, United States. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the site or submit information through it.
Information we collect
We collect two kinds of information: what you give us, and what is recorded automatically.
Information you provide
- Contact form. Your name, email address, optional phone number, and the contents of your message.
- Project intake form. The answers you provide about your business, project goals, budget range, and timeline.
- Scheduling. If you book an intro call, the details you enter into our scheduling provider, including your name, email, and chosen time.
- Correspondence. Emails and messages you send us, which we keep as part of the record of our conversation.
Please do not send us sensitive personal information — government identifiers, health information, or payment card numbers — through the forms on this site. We do not request it and the forms are not designed to receive it.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. Aggregated page views, referring pages, approximate region, device and browser type, and on-page interactions, collected through Google Analytics 4.
- Server logs. IP address, timestamp, requested URL, and user agent, recorded by our web server. We use these for security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry, answer questions, and prepare a proposal or quote.
- To deliver and support projects for clients who engage us.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website.
- To understand which pages and topics are useful, in aggregate.
- To send occasional updates — only if you explicitly opt in. We do not add you to a marketing list simply because you contacted us, and every such message includes an unsubscribe link.
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.
Where the law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on your consent (for optional analytics and marketing), our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site and responding to inquiries, and the performance of a contract where you are a client.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses cookies set by Google Analytics 4 to measure usage. These cookies help us count visits and understand how pages are used; they are not used for advertising, and we do not sell or share analytics data with third parties for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google's opt-out browser add-on. Blocking these cookies does not affect your ability to use the site.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, and only as needed to run the site and respond to you:
- Amazon Web Services — hosting, storage, and database services for the site and its form submissions.
- Amazon Simple Email Service — delivery of form notifications and confirmation emails.
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregated website usage measurement.
- Cal.com — scheduling, if you book an intro call.
We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or where we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others. If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction; we will note any material change on this page.
Data retention
We keep contact and intake submissions for as long as needed for the purpose they were collected, and generally no longer than three years after our last substantive contact with you, unless you are a client — in which case we retain project records for as long as the engagement requires and for any period required by law, tax, or accounting rules. Server logs are retained for a short operational period. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
How we protect information
The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are transmitted encrypted in transit, and access to stored submissions is limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold.
Your privacy rights
Subject to your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, correction of anything inaccurate, deletion of your information, a portable copy, and to withdraw consent you previously gave. You also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We will acknowledge your request and respond within 30 days, or tell you if we need more time. We may need to verify your identity before acting, which usually means confirming control of the email address associated with the information.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not knowingly process the sensitive personal information of California residents through this site.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Browsers vary in how they signal tracking preferences. Where we receive a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, this does not change how we handle your data.
Visitors outside the United States
We operate in the United States, and information you send us is processed and stored there. Privacy laws in the United States may differ from those where you live. By using the site or contacting us, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.
Links to other sites
Our site links to client websites and other third-party pages. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them. Review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made clear on this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
